Pedigree teamed up with Deezer to find music that is enjoyable for both human ears and dog ears. Together, we created a way for dog owners to use Song Catcher from Deezer to analyze the sound of their dog barking. Dogs differ not only in size and shape but also in sensitivity and range of hearing. You dog might not like your music, it could hurt their sensitive ears. However, Charles T. Snowdown, an animal psychologist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, discovered that animals DO enjoy music, as long as it includes the pitches, tones, and tempos that are familiar to their breed. Deezer would work to identify songs that would be pleasing to a specific breed and would then match those with songs the owner already likes. This collection of songs is then customized into a Pedigree Playlist, featuring songs humans and their furry friends can enjoy together.
